It's Adult Recognition Award Nomination Time!
Now is the time to recognize an adult volunteer for their hard work and dedication that make Girl Scout experiences fun and positive! The Adult Recognition Award nominations are designed to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments that go above and beyond what is expected of our volunteers. The significance and impact our Girl Scout volunteers make cannot simply be measured in years of service but in the impact on the young women whose lives are enriched by the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. The nomination link is now live! The time-frame for this nomination term is for services performed January 1 - December 31, 2016. Please note, some of the higher awards will ask for information prior to this time-frame. Get your reference letters ready and submit your nominations by March 15, 2017.

Please email adultrecognition@gssef.org with questions.

Keeping the girls safe at booths or any public place where they are selling cookies is of utmost importance. Please see the Safety Activity Checkpoints for Cookies.

World Thinking Day Awards
On February 22nd of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 146 countries  celebrate World Thinking Day - that's one BIG celebration!

Girl Scouts celebrate World Thinking Day by participating in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The World Thinking Day 2017 theme is "Grow."

The World Thinking Day award activities are designed to complement the
Girl Scout leadership journeys. The World Thinking Day award is now an
Official Award and, therefore, it may be worn on the front of the official
uniform sash or vest in the same area where the badges go, which is the
same side as the Girl Scout Council identification set.

These Girl Scouts had lots of 'reel' fun participating in the Society of Women Engineers Fish Like a Girl workshop at the River Center in Jupiter. Through  hands on activities, the girls learned not only how to fish but about conservation too.
