HOME CARE MATTERS

Skills Fair 2018 was a HIT!
Thank you for making our 2018 Skills Fair a big success. 101 of our employees took time to learn and have fun with us that day. We appreciate the positive feedback we received so far and strive to use your suggestions to make every year better than the last.
A day to honor those who have given their lives for our freedom.
WELCOME
New Advanced Health Care Employees Hired in April:

  • Chayna B.
  • Nikki S.
  • Madison S.

We are so happy you have chosen to be a part of our caring team!
Congratulations to
Megan L. who passed her state exam and is now an active CNA!

Could you use an extra $200?
That is how much we PAY YOU for every person you refer to us as an employee. Once they are hired and work the 160 hour requirement, we write you a check! Send us a good caregiver or nurse that you know today.
And the Provider of Choice Award goes to....
Advanced Health Care!

We received the 2018 Provider of Choice Award last month from Home Care Pulse (the company we use to make our anonymous client satisfaction calls).

The provider Choice Award is granted only to the top ranking home care providers, based on client satisfaction scores gathered by Home Care Plus, an independent satisfaction research
firm for home care. Advanced Health Care is now ranked among a select few home care providers across the county who have proven their ability to provide outstanding care.

We owe this award to all of YOU...because we know that happy clients are a direct reflection of YOU, their caregivers. THANK YOU for your part in helping us achieve this distinction.

Caregiver Profile:
Cathleen M.
12+ years years with AHC

What do you like about being a caregiver?
"I love helping others. I started when I was 16 caring for my grandmother. It's my calling. I think we all have a purpose in life and caring for others in my purpose."

Any advice you would give a new caregiver? "Just be patient. Communicate! Every client you come to, they are all different but they all need love, care, and support. Be patient and listen."

Cathleen retires and moves out of state next month. AHC and her clients will miss her.
"I chose Advanced because it was a family business and I felt the love and support. It was easy to go and talk to staff if there was any issue. The flexible schedule was great so I could raise my boys and work when I wanted. You can't just get a job like that anywhere! After taking a year off to care for my own mom, I came back to welcome arms. Everyone is so supportive and loving. I'm going to miss that the most!"

Thank you for your service, Cathleen!
Welcome to our New Front Desk/Admin. Assistant,

JoAnne Martinez!
As you may know, we bid Jan a fond farewell last week as she is moving and retiring to Arizona. Although we will miss her greatly, we are pleased to welcome our new front desk guru, JoAnne. Many of you had a chance to meet JoAnne on her 1st day of employment with us at Skills Fair, but here are a few things you may not know about the voice you will now hear when you call our Lakewood office!

JoAnne comes to us with a background in customer service and HR. She is excited to be working and living in the Lakewood area, which allows her to spend more free time with her family. She is married with 2 sons, and 1 granddaughter.

JoAnne says she loves to spend her freetime cooking, river rafting, and hiking. "But more cooking than hiking," she laughs. JoAnne loves the outdoors and can often be found enjoying the beautiful scenic Chambers Bay in University Place.

JoAnne is appreciative of this job opportunity. "It's not just a job, it's meaningful work. I love how everyone in the office pulls together and works as a team. I can tell something is different here! I look forward to supporting everyone I can."
Congratulations
to Lynessa on her marriage last month. Many of you know her as our marketing/recruiting director for the past 11+ years. Best wishes to the newly combined family of 6! Her new name is Lynessa Stone and email will be
