Saturday / Sábado 16 de Dec., 6:30-9 p.m.

St. Luke’s-San Lucas Church

Join Bishop Gayle Harris and the people of St. Luke’s-San Lucas in Chelsea for Las Posadas, a traditional Advent celebration in which those gathered will trace Mary and Joseph’s traveling search for shelter – a bilingual celebration with processions, prayer of Novenas, music, food and hospitality. As the group celebrates this well-known story from the Christian tradition, it will hold close in heart and mind the serious plight of modern-day refugees struggling to find shelter today.

Resources for Youth Ministry
Anglicans Worldwide Explore Advent
Via Social Media
Here is an opportunity to tap into your young people's passion for (obsession with?) social media for Christian formation.

#AdventWord, the Anglican Communion’s Global Advent Calendar, is an innovative way to engage in the season of Advent with people all over the world. Once a person signs up, they simply respond to the daily meditation emailed to them with images and prayers that speak to their heart via their own social media pages. Their images and prayers will appear in the Advent Calendar with others from around the world.

Invite your youth to join others across the globe as we anticipate the coming of Christ, the fulfillment of our deepest longings.

For more information, including a 2-minute instructional video, see #AdventWord .
