Cookies +  Milk
With the overwhelming success of lasts year's Cookies + Milk charity, we were ecstatic to once again partner with the United Dairymen of Idaho  campaign to benefit the Idaho Foodbank, and Albertson's.

Can we beat last years record of 9,800 boxes of cookies donated to the Idaho Foodbank? With the United Dairymen's match, we can provide up to $10,000 in milk to Idaho's food insecure population.  Find out more here.

STEM Matters
Thanks to an invitation from the Idaho STEM Action Center, Girl Scouts of Silver Sage hosted an informational booth with a catapult building station at the 2017 STEM Matters Celebration. This event showcased STEM and computer science projects from students, community members, and companies. Over 150 students attended, as well as state legislators, and members of the public.
Program Update:
Boise State Engineering and Science Festival
More than 70 Girl Scouts attended the Boise State Engineering and Science Festival, held on February 4th. Featured were more than forty different activities, as well as other things to see and do, including a visit with NASA Astronaut, Steve Swanson.

Girl Scouts received a 3D printed pin to commemorate the event!

Happy Campers
Letter to Camp Directors from Troop 522 in Duck Valley

Thanks to the generous support of people like you, 83 low-income girls had an amazing experience at camp last summer.

Camp scholarships, or "Camperships," provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience to Girl Scouts at Camp Alice Pittenger and Ta-Man-A-Wis.

With your help, we can give even more girls a summer to remember.

Progress at Camp Alice Pittenger
Thanks to you, Camp Alice Pittenger is going to look much different this spring! Some of our staff donned protective eye wear to get a sneak peak at our Shower House in production at Nashua Builders.

Gold Award Recipient
Anne Nygard used her passion for running to help refugees in our community. As a  high school cross country and track  runner, Anne knew that athletes only wear their running shoes for a certain amount of miles. So, she organized a team called Running for Refugees to collect used shoes and redistribute them at a running clinic. She was asked to attend  the Human Rights Day Celebration and speak  about her program  during the legislative session.
