October Advocacy Update

It is with both sadness and excitement that we announce another transition in our Chamber family.
Jan Hutchins, our Director Government Relations & Business Advocacy, has purchased a property in North Eastern Canada and it looks as though he and his wife will be starting a new life there.
Over the past year, Jan has been instrumental in helping the Chamber gets it's advocacy message out to our members and the community, create and form position statements and bring key members of our community together.
We will miss Jan and wish him well for this exciting new adventure.

We have postponed the BIPP meeting last week to another time as our keynote speaker and others became unavailable.
Here is the notice that we sent out on Nov 7th:
We were looking forward to a very impactful BIPP meeting this month on Mountain View's transit center and the various proposals and concepts to make it the most effective, attractive and a true stimulus for our Mountain View community and beyond.
However, due to our keynote speaker having to withdraw due to a death in his family and others who have become unavailable on November 9th, we are canceling November's BIPP meeting.
Our transit center remains a very important and impactful topic and we plan to move this to a future BIPP meeting when we can bring all the key voices to the table to present as complete a picture as possible of all that our transit center can be.
