Attention Tennis Players!

USTA Central Arizona (CAZ) is expanding its community-wide efforts  to  keep kids active and healthy, encourage the development of social skills and good sportsmanship, and provide safe after school playing environments.  CAZ will  utilize a successful after school program (Kids' Tennis Clubs) to bridge tennis programming in physical education with play opportunities that are offered after school on school grounds and at local facilities.

The key to the success of the program is utilizing caring and energetic adults that want to see kids succeed and develop positive life skills.   CAZ  is looking for program staff and volunteers to serve as "Play Supervisors" to assist with programs being offered th roughout the valley.    A commitment of 2-4 hours per week for a period of 6-8 weeks is needed for those interested in getting involved.  Training and equipment will be provided to help ensure a positive experience for program leaders, volunteers and program participants.

An orientation meeting is being held at the USTA Central Arizona office on Tuesday, December 6th from 3:00-4:00PM. RSVP by December 5th.

Information on program needs and responsibilities will be provided and individuals can choose to sign up as a  Volunteer Play Supervisor or Program Site Leader at the conclusion of the meeting.

Additionally, a special fund has been established to support youth program expansion in CAZ.  Please click the link below to make a donation.  Individuals can choose to sponsor a child ($75), a school ($500), or make a custom donation.

We look forward to having your support as we seek to make a difference in the lives of kids through affordable and accessible programs in the valley.
