Dr. Stoner (Esther Crandall) admires Anya's (Katie Krause) perseverance in managing her worsening condition.
Karl Hendryk, a brilliant professor, flees persecution in his home country to safely care for his invalid wife, Anya, in a new country.

Her suffering continues as the disease progresses, and she cdespises their new life.  Karl, however, has made a name for himself at the local university, where he is respected and admired by faculty and students alike.

Tensions between Karl and Anya continue to build, especially when Lisa's cousin moves in to assist in caring for Anya.  The situation is intesified when one of Karl's young rich students, Helen Rollander, begins to take private lessons from the professor.

It wouldn't be "a Christie" without a murder, and the Dame does not disappoint! This year's Studio season closes with a fantastic 'why-done-it' of a thriller - and a fitting end to the Season of Love.
