Hoosiers Reported to Crowd the Court in Agriculture Secretary Contest
Source:  Politico
Several of the top contenders for Agriculture secretary in President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet have two things in common: Indiana and Vice President-elect Mike Pence.  Five of the nine names thought to be the likeliest picks for the top job at USDA are Hoosiers, either by birth or business connections to the state, and several have personal connections to Governor Pence.   The Indiana names in the mix include:  Chuck Conner (from Benton County and now serving as CEO of the National Council of Farmer Cooperative); Ted McKinney (ISDA Director); Don Villwock (former president of Indiana Farm Bureau);  Kip Tom (farmer from Kosciusko County); and Mike McCloskey (chairman of Fair Oaks Farms).  Pence is expected to play a key role in the selection of the Agriculture secretary.  Click  HERE to read the full article from Politico that offers more detail on these Indiana candidates as well as other names being considered.

Ceres Solutions CEO Jeff Troike serves on the Land O'Lakes Board of Directors and is an enthusiastic proponent of incorporating Land O Lakes Foundation philanthropic resources to benefit families  in Indiana.
