ACI Policy Committee Meets
The ACI Public Policy Committee met on June 29 to update the policy agenda for 2018. In addition, the committee recommended to the board a number of policies documenting its current course of conduct which will be considered at the July board meeting. The committee spent additional time on upcoming rulemaking for dicamba as a RSP and invasive seeds in advance of a rulemaking at the Office of State Chemist later this summer. We urge members to emphasize responsible application of dicamba according to the label.

INTL FC STONE Offers Grain Merchandiser Risk Academy in Chicago August 1-3
As global grain markets grow more volatile and complex, so too grow the challenges facing grain and feed merchandisers and originators. For those new to this role, either recent graduates or those transitioning into a merchandising role, it can be confusing without a proper introduction to the world of price risk management. ACI member,  INTL FCStone Financial Inc., FCM Division has developed a three-day "pure education" program to give grain merchandisers who are new to the trading role a solid merchandising foundation.   For more information and registration specifics, click HERE.

As appreciation to ACI members, you will receive a $100 discount toward the registration fee (Discount Code: ASSOC).  What a great opportunity to support a fellow ACI member AND  save you a considerable amount of resources (time and money) to educate new employees about price risk management.
Ag Retailer Roundtable Event
August 7th in Scottsburg
Open to All Ag Retailers
Farmers go to Ag Retailers first when they need advice, recommendations and resources.  We also know when it comes to nutrient management and soil health, there is a lot to know.  The Washington County SWCD, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Indiana Farm Bureau, and many other partners want agriculture retailers to be equipped with the industry's latest news, technology and tools to help farmers determine the practices that are most appropriate to achieve reductions in nutrient loss, improve nutrient management and soil health and, ultimately, Indiana's water quality.

All Agriculture Retailers are invited to the first roundtable which will be held on August 7 at Mid-America Science Park (812 S. Lake Road, Scottsburg, IN 47170) with registration from 8:30-9:00AM and the program running from 9:00-noon. For more information, click  HERE.
