ACI Partners with Member Companies for Habitat AgBuild  at
2017 Indiana State Fair
ACI is partnering with two ACI member companies for the upcoming Habitat for Humanity AgBuild at the 2017 Indiana State Fair.  Barnes & Thornburg will be sponsoring a work day on Monday morning (8:45-12:30), August 7th and they are looking for 13 volunteers to assist their team of workers.  On August 8th (1:45-5:00 pm), ADM will be sponsoring an afternoon AgBuild at the fair and they are looking for two (2) workers to fill their roster.  This project is a "hands on" opportunity to give back to families in need. The keys to these two homes will be turned over to two deserving central Indiana families on the last day of the fair.  If you are interested in volunteering for either of these opportunities, go to the appropriate link below.  There are just a few slots available and it promises to be a day to remember.

If you have questions, contact Hank McKay (Barnes & Thornburg) at Hank.McKay@btlaw.com or Kirstie Anderson (ADM) at Kirstie.Anderson@adm.com.  Thanks in advance for your support of your fellow members AND Habitat for Humanity and their incredible outreach to families in Indiana.

Indiana Fertilizer Board Update
Mark Shublak attended the Monday, July 24 th meeting of the Indiana Fertilizer Advisory Board.  Of note was a future rulemaking to update Indiana's ammonia rules to current ANSI standards mirrored in federal rules.  The rule updates will likely focus on safety equipment upgrades for anhydrous ammonia, including automating cable pull shut-off valves and updating hose breakaway devices.  As more information is available we will make sure to make it available to all members.  The number of verified complaints involving fertilizer dropped slightly from the prior year with 8 licensing violations, 10 staging violations and 22 application violations.
