Upcoming Ag Initiatives for Georgia Agribusiness Council Members

AG INITIATIVES - ACT NOW!

ATRAZINE COMMENTS NEEDED BY OCTOBER 4
On September 20, the Council submitted a letter to EPA stating our support for the re-registration of atrazine. The deadline is October 4th.

We expect a heavy rush of negative comments from the anti-pesticide clubs in the remaining days ahead, and we want to encourage letters from the ag industry to help offset their efforts. Submitting quality comments with valid and informed opinions regarding atrazine re-registration and the importance that it plays in weed control in many crops is very important. In addition, www.AGsense.org is a very helpful resource for background information on atrazine.

Click here to access talking points and a sample letter for your use. It takes only a few minutes to submit comments. We believe the actions by EPA will be precedent setting and will have a tremendous impact on future risk assessments for all agricultural products, so please engage on this issue. Thank you!
