Plan will Reshape Airport to Better Serve Airlines and Passengers
 
Airport officials are embarking on a modernization plan to again make the airport an industry leader, as announced at a news conference Tuesday.

The modernization plan will reduce long-term costs, benefit the traveling public and align the facility with the needs of a modern passenger experience.

PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL ALLOWS PUBLIC AIRSIDE ACCESS
 
Shops and restaurants beyond the security checkpoint are now available to the public without requiring an airline ticket.

Through the new "myPITpass" program, the public will have year-round access to the Airside Terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport.

CONDOR DOUBLES NONSTOP GERMANY FLIGHTS IN 2018
 
Condor Airlines has announced that it will expand nonstop flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Frankfurt, Germany for the 2018 season.

REGISTRATION FOR AIRPORT 5K RACES
(PIT AND AGC) NOW OPEN
 
Again this year, we are excited to welcome runners and walkers to Pittsburgh International and Allegheny County Airport for 5K races on both airfields.

In partnership with P3R , the PIT 5K will be conducted September 30 at 10 a.m.

The AGC 5K will be conducted November 18 at 10 a.m. in West Mifflin.

SPIRIT AIRLINES TO BEGIN NONSTOPS TO TAMPA, FORT MYERS NOVEMBER 9 
 
At Spirit Airlines , there's no such thing as too much Sunshine State! Now, South Florida's Hometown Airline is delivering more sunshine and more service to its two newest cities.

Beginning Nov. 9, Spirit will begin service to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and Tampa International Airport (TPA) from Pittsburgh International Airport. The daily seasonal flights will bring new ultra-low fare options for customers to escape the cold and plan the ultimate tropical beach escape.
 
ADDITIONAL PRE✓® LANE AVAILABLE AT ALTERNATE SECURITY CHECKPOINT
 
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has added an additional TSA  Pre✓® lane at Pittsburgh International Airport, making it easier for passengers to enjoy the program's benefits.

The TSA Pre✓® Program allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on.

The new Pre✓® lane, located at the alternate checkpoint, will be open from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Pre✓® lane at the main checkpoint will remain open from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
