Please join me in welcoming the new Air Traffic Control Tower Manager, Beau Seabourn. He brings a wealth of experience from both the military and civilian worlds. We are happy to have him join us at the Waukesha County Airport.

Don't forget to sign up for the Wisconsin Aviation Conference in May, where you can learn from and network with others in the aviation industry.

Landscaping Contractors
It may be hard to believe with all of the snow and ice over the past few weeks, but summer is just around the corner and the grass is starting to turn green! That means mowing and landscaping are not too far away. If you hire landscaping contractors to work around your hangar, please make sure they have gone through the driver training and received an Airport ID Badge. They can contact us at 262-521-5250 to set up and appointment to complete this. Non-badged contractors will be escorted off of the airfield.

Wildlife
The migrating birds are making their way back north for the spring/summer and have been trying to make pit stops here at the airport. Flash, the coyote decoy, has already been busy scaring the geese away. We have also been using pyrotechnics to haze the wildlife, so don't be alarmed if you hear loud explosions on the airfield. These pyrotechnics are very effective in scaring away wildlife and preventing bird strikes.
