Albion-Homer United Way: Investing In the Albion & Homer Communities

ALBION, MI - June 8, 2016 - Your Albion-Homer United Way has been very BUSY this past year!

During this past year, the Albion-Homer United Way approved $32,425 in gifts to the following organizations:
  • Albion Interfaith Ministries........................................................$7,500
  • Food Bank of South Central Michigan........................................$4,000
  • Homer Caring & Sharing Network..............................................$2,000
  • First United Methodist Church "Healthy Baby Day".....................$1,000
  • Fountain Clinic..........................................................................$3,500
  • Charitable Union.......................................................................$2,500
  • SAFE Place..............................................................................$2,000
  • Albion's Big Read......................................................................$4,000
  • Calhoun County Public Health Department Immunization Program...$300
  • Albion Recreation Department....................................................$5,625
The Albion-Homer United Way also contributed $5,801 to the following organizations via Donor Designated Pledge:
  • Troop 158 BSA............................................................................$250

In addition to the monies listed above, the Albion-Homer United Way gifted the Albion Public Schools with $21,500 towards an "Enrichment Program" for arts and music education programming through the end of the 2015-2016 school year. 

And, the Albion-Homer United Way contracted with the Albion District Library for an early childhood literacy program -- $30,000.

Thanks to donated revenues, the Albion-Homer United Way granted and gifted a total of $89,726 into Albion and Homer during the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
