I ask that you VOTE YES on SB 215. I believe that there are currently inadequate review processes in place in our state for large scale water bottling plants, particularly those seeking to extract more than 100 acre feet of ground water annually. I believe that it is critical for the legislature to put in place more comprehensive safeguards in the review process to ensure that the location, construction, and operation of these large-scale facilities are thoroughly reviewed for all potential impacts on the environment, the economy, and the public health, welfare, and safety on the areas and communities where they might choose to locate.
