Aleyant's ‘Print Is Big’ Initiative Highlights Print’s Significant Economic Role
Aleyant has recently updated the site with new print-related facts and statistics. The site is designed as an industry resource to demonstrate the importance of print in the world’s economic ecosystem.

“This site was created as a service to the industry,” explains Greg Salzman, Aleyant’s President. “We wanted to provide industry professionals with a ready resource to debunk the ‘Print is Dead’ myth, and have recently updated the site with additional facts and statistics, which we will be doing on an ongoing basis.”

What is Aleyant PrintJobManager?
PrintJobManager is MIS/ERP simplified. It uses a new mobile, cloud-based approach to MIS that includes a fast means of generating market-driven pricing, job management, inventory control, planning and estimating.

The simple setup and use of the cloud-based PrintJobManager enables you to manage your shop from any device. PrintJobManager is a standalone application for estimating, inventory management, shop floor data collection and more. Conveniently, it will also work seamlessly with the award-winning Aleyant Pressero web-to-print e-commerce and variable data system. While Pressero is not required to use PrintJobManager, product pricing created in PrintJobManager can be seamlessly used within Pressero storefronts, eliminating the need to create and maintain separate pricing systems for online stores vs your estimating and job management systems.

PrintJobManager is currently in Beta, with a scheduled release for later this year.

Recent Product Enhancements
We're always adding useful new features to Pressero and eDocBuilder. Here are some of the most popular additions since our last newsletter. Click the links for more details about each item. Be sure to stay tuned to our blog and user forum for the latest updates.
Aleyant Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI) Updates for v6 Subscribers

  • Queuing Feature: Users can now hold jobs until ready to release them in a batch in order to gain some production efficiencies. This can be done by checking the “Enable Queuing” box.
  • Reporting Feature: AWI can automatically generate the corresponding Pressero report(s) for the order item. AWI can also automatically create PDF based reports, within the Reports tab. Simply check the box next to each report needed and specify the download location.
  • Use Tags for File Naming: In multiple areas throughout AWI you are given the opportunity to dynamically rename files based on key attributes about the order. This includes file downloads as well as naming for MIS integration. You may now define how AWI should rename the files using tags.

Aleyant eDocbuilder Updates

  • Better access to features and capabilities on mobile devices.
  • Continuous availability of the ‘My Images’ section at the bottom of the window. Users can simply click the Plus icon next to the ‘My Images’ header to drag and drop images directly onto the desired image field. A Reset button allows return to the default image.
  • Drag and Drop Feature: A number of new tools that make it easier for users to place image and text fields by turning on ‘Snap-To’ for elements, guides and grids. Optionally, users can display rulers, guides, grids and bleed. Guidelines can be placed anywhere within the template for easy placement of text and images.
  • New Options - Grid Guidelines and Rulers: Previews now include a high-resolution option to increase detail shown in the preview images used while customizing templates. Easily scroll or swipe through images.
  • High Resolution Preview: When a session is saved with an image that has been cropped, the system will now contain the entire image and allow the user to re-crop the image without having to re-upload the image.
  • Interactive Designer template users can now restore previously uploaded images to saved sessions so they do not need to reupload when they return to their saved work. If the user saves a session, such as with the 'Saved for Later' option on a Pressero site, the images they previously uploaded can be added back. To do this, users just need to click the "Add previously uploaded images" button that will be present when they come back to the session. The button is to the right of the Page navigation. Once the button has been clicked, the My Images tab will be populated with the previously uploaded images.

Aleyant Pressero Updates for v6 Subscribers

  • Users now have the ability to add custom error messages on the check out page for in-store credit card processing. For payment methods in which the user pays via credit card directly on your Pressero site, you will have two additional fields available - Custom Checkout Error Message and Display Provider Error. These fields determine what will be displayed to the user on the checkout page if there is an issue in processing the user's credit card. You have three options:
  • Display the Pressero generic error message - To display our default generic error message, leave both of these fields blank.
  • Display the error from the payment processor - To display the error message returned from the payment processor, click the Display Provider Error box.
  • Display a custom message - To display a custom message, type in your desired custom message in the Custom Checkout Error Message field. This will override the Pressero generic message and the provider error message.
