City Hall, Municipal Court and Parks programming have been cancelled in response to Hurricane Irma
MILTON, Ga. , - All City of Milton government offices are closed Monday, Sept. 11, including Milton Municipal Court. Tonight's regularly scheduled City Council Meeting has also been cancelled and all parks and recreation programming has been cancelled.

Milton organizations and businesses are encouraged to monitor weather conditions carefully throughout the day and make determinations that best meet their needs.

The city's administrative team will reevaluate weather conditions to determine any impact on city operations for Tuesday, Sept. 12 business hours. Essential city personnel will report at 8:00 a.m.

Winds in excess of 35 mph with gusts up to 70 mph are forecast to arrive in the area before noon today. These winds, coupled with heavy rain, can result in widespread trees and limbs down along with power outages.

As weather conditions worsen, residents are asked to stay off the roads to allow public safety personnel to more successfully navigate the roads and provide emergency aid.
