Wayland All Schools News
May 6, 2015
This revised newsletter format is a result of our recent parent survey. We received hundreds of comments, many asking for improved cell phone readability, and very brief articles with links for additional information. We are also currently exploring many other parent suggestions including a downloadable calendar, and touch/add date to calendar functionality. Thank you for your great suggestions--your feedback is always welcome (email [email protected])!

Message from the Wayland
Director of Public Health
Important Tick Prevention
While it is a good idea to take preventive measure against ticks year-round, be extra vigilant in the warmer months of April through September when ticks are most active. Be sure to call your doctor if you get a rash, fever, or flu symptoms after a tick bite, or during the summer after spending time in a tick habitat. Please see below for specific advice from the Centers for Disease Control. Wayland Public Health 508-358-3617.

Recycle Textiles & Support the PTO
At Every School & the Transfer Station
The Wayland PTO Green Team has partnered with Bay State Textiles to promote textile recycling and generate rebates for the PTO by hosting donation boxes at every school and at the Wayland Transfer Station. Turn your unwanted clothing, backpacks, shoes and linens into revenue for the Wayland PTO. Donated items are accepted in any condition as long as they are clean and dry. Visit www.baystatetextiles.com for a list of acceptable items. A good rule of thumb:  if you can wear it, it's an acceptable item. Thank you.
