Greetings! March is already here – and we are all looking forward to more hours of sunlight with Daylight Savings Time (don’t forget to set your clocks one hour ahead on Sunday, March 11 th !)   In this edition, you will see just a few of the reasons why people at Sunshine Village SHINE – and just a few examples of how we deliver on the promise of a GREAT day!   Last year, we celebrated five decades of service. Now in our 51 st year, we are looking forward to supporting more people – with more innovative programming – in warm and welcoming environments – and always with simple kindness and genuine care. Thank you for supporting Sunshine Village. Giving Back

As a part of their hope project , our Main Street Chicopee Program visited the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield for some laughs and to make tie dyed t-shirts. Our Community Engagement Program was excited to receive appreciation awards for their volunteer service at the Chicopee Public Library.

Out & About Dreams came true for our attendees of the Night To Shine Prom event by LifePoint Church! Our Community Engagement Program met Blade from the Boston Bruins at Chicopee Public Library's pajama drive party.

Fun With Friends

We are globetrotters ! Every month, we celebrate a new culture or country. This month, we learned about Poland and enjoyed making pierogies from scratch to enjoy with friends ! We've been enjoying our music appreciation program! We love getting to play the instruments and learning to tune up guitars. We got a kick out of the bullfrog Teaching Creatures brought in as a part of our lesson on African animals .

Celebrations Our Community Engagement Program hosted the first ever "Love Yourself" Fashion Show to celebrate Valentine's Day in a new way. What a great party ! We had a blast celebrating Valentine's Day dancing to a DJ and taking pics in the photo booth with friends! See More Photos
