This Sunday we celebrate our volunteers who serve this community on a regular basis and make church "work" on every day! We invite you to a breakfast held in the Cafe at 9:30am and 11:00am - either time. Come early to hang out and enjoy this celebration of you.

This Sunday, Jill Lively will continue teaching about recovery from alcoholism and addiction - speaking to the families and friends who are dealing with a loved one who suffers. She'll offer advice and encouragement on how to love and lead with mercy, yet not enable them. We hope that you invite family and friends who you know are needing help in this area.

Sunday night, it's the Small Group Family Supper in the Cafe. If you are leading a group in the next cycle, we hope to see you there.

Special offering
accepting contributions till April 15th

David Gausepohl            Westley Edmondson     Harry Fritzenschaft

As part of our ongoing church financial and staff restructuring, Harry Fritzenschaft will be going part-time in September, while Wes Edmondson is exploring alternative full-time employment. David Gausepohl has accepted a full time position at the Sugarland Vineyard. The Pastoral Council believes that this would be a great time to show our love and appreciation for their faithful ministry among us!
We are encouraging those, who so desire, to contribute to a special love offering that will be divided equally among them. Make contributions to the Vineyard Church of Houston by check or go to our website's giving link, and check the "Special Love Offering" box. According to IRS rules, these gifts will not be tax deductible. We appreciate your generosity!
Special Update on Kaylen Simpson

Updates from Kaylen's family:

Kaylen underwent a tracheotomy on Tuesday to replace her breathing tube. Sh e does NOT have any infection in her blood, which is awesome, however the pneumonia is still significant, so she will continue to undergo treatment for her lungs. Her last plasma treatment is completed, and she will be undergoing surgery to put in a feeding tube. Doctors plan to begin treatment again to specifically target the GBS on Friday or Saturday.

Prayer Requests:

1) That the pneumonia would be wiped out quickly and docs can focus solely on the GBS.
2) That today's surgery has no complications
3) That the GBS treatment goes smoothly. (Kaylen was given the GBS specific treatment when first admitted, but had an allergic reaction, so it was put on hold. Docs think they can more closely monitor any reaction now that she is in ICU.)
4) That we would be able to find a quality PT clinic that is a perfect fit for Kaylen's needs and is in her insurance network.

Thank you church for your prayer! To support the family financially, friends have created a go fund me page!

Connecting the dots...
Because of an ad here asking for a refrigerator, we were able to connect one who needed a fridge with someone who had a fridge to give away. A guy with a truck, a brother to help move it, and then friends at the delivery point made the pickup and drop off easy. God is good!

Also special thanks to all of you who have offered to donate items to Teresa Crain! She has found an apartment, and we'll be contacting you soon.
