We are Performing our new work Invasion at IMPLOSION  on October 2 and 3 at the Los Angeles Theater Center at 7 pm
First about our new work Invasion, which will have media by Audri Phillips added for its official premiere on October 2nd and 3rd at LATC on the IMPLOSIONS Program. A few very short samples are the videos above. Below are links to the box office, and then a jpg of the entire program produced by Project 21 Dance including all the artists.
Invasion is sci-fi, and has to do with what happens when we are invaded by another species (or metaphorically, what happens when very diverse qualities from diverse cultures come together). Who changes who? What is the result? The piece begins with 2 beings who see a carefree, almost childlike person. They interact, and all 3 are now part of the "beings". Next is a duet of love and great sadness that is passed on to the beings. Last is a passionate Tango that is sexual and violent. They all merge in the electrifying ending.
That link to tickets I promised leads to their calendar in theater 3 called "Pairing of the Arts"   Oct 2 @ 7pm or  Oct 3 @ 7pm

I chose the photo on the right from hundreds that Stacy Lauas Alvarez took of the 21 dance companies and also music groups and audiences because it shows three of our dancers- Linnea Snyderman in front and Glenn Rodriguez and Kistina Pressler, and the beautiful harbor of Ports O'Call setting. The picture is also a link to a shared photo album of many of the pictures on my facebook page.
There were many articles both before and after, and there will be another fuller report with links coming in October.
