December Island Newsletter

Good Morning Island people!
Did you see that it is already December 10? December 10? That is crazy. I mean really, I haven't even started on my December Daily AND I leave for Europe in 6 days. I would imagine I'll be working on December Daily every night, in JANUARY. How about you? Are your December crafting plans going as you had hoped?
If not, you know the Island has everything you need to make your crafting ideas come to life! The holiday paper lines are all out, and the Design Team has made some really awesome projects to help inspire you!
And, the Island is chock full of classes this week, with projects that would make excellent gifts! Debbie V. is doing our Basic Grey class on Thursday night. Lisa is doing a uber cute Joy banner on Friday night. Janet has a beautiful Treasured Memories Album on Saturday AND Veronica will be teaching an awesome Vintage Craft Caddy on Sunday. Any of these projects would make a great holiday gift! Make sure you sign up soon, before space runs out!
We are so lucky to have the beautiful Lisa doing our Make and Take for us this Friday. It's only $4 to play, and you get it right back to buy all the supplies with when you are done! So much craft goodness is happening. Make sure you stop by and play!
You do remember that each week I describe our classes and activities, don't you? You are going to scroll down, and see, right? There are so many classes coming up, you don't want to miss anything! Watch for a Craft Caddy from Veronica, a Treasured Memories album with Janet and a Basic Gray class with Debbie. You know there is more down there... But I challenge you to find it!
Now, if you haven't LIKE'd us on Facebook, you really need to. Also, bookmark our Class Calendar, and well, you know the drill.
And no card swap in December because of the holidays. The card swap will resume in January with a Valentines or Love card! Check it out down at the bottom!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the birthday wishes! It helped my birthday be totally awesome!
Now to what you are here for the calendar...

Vintage Craft Caddy
With Veronica Leggett
Sunday, December 16th
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$45.00
In this class we will use various papers and ephemera to create a custom vintage caddy. A large selection of vintage papers and ephemera will be available in the class for decorating your caddy.
**Purchase the KaiserCraft Craft Caddy and prepare for class as follows:
( Caddy not included in class Price )
It is important that all painting and prep work is completed before the class. Class time will be spent assembling, decorating, and customizing the boxes and the caddy.
Base coat all pieces of the caddy with KaiserColour acrylic paint in the color of your choice. You only need to paint around the edges of the larger pieces, which will be covered with paper. Important: do not paint the tabs or the inside of the slots that are used to assemble the project.
Fold the boxes on the score lines and glue them together. I found this easy to do using a thin line of Glossy Accents and holding the box together for a few seconds until the glue sets. Paint the bottom of each box and about 1/2" around all the outside edges on all 4 sides.
Please bring to class a craft mat, a strong wet adhesive such as Beacon's 3-in-1 and ink and an inking tool.
Remember that you will receive a 10% discount on all purchases made the day of the crop!
