October Island Newsletter

Good Morning Island people!

I know that I saw many of you at the Island this weekend...  It was so hopping with activity.  I saw lots of these lovely ladies.  How they made my Saturday completely awesome!  Speaking of awesome...  Scrap Pink was FANTASTIC.  Great friends, great make & takes, great food, great prizes...  So much greatness at one time!  If you didn't get a chance to come to the Island this weekend, you really did miss out!

On top of the uber fun crop, the girls were checking in new product all day Saturday.  New Crate Paper, Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine...  Things that I HAD TO HAVE: wood veneer snowflakes, a Christmas Date stamp from American Crafts, Tim Holtz Christmas Sizzix Star die, and Dyan Reaveley Christmas Stamps.  For you Halloween peeps...  Laurie has so much Halloween product.  You really must stop by.  (and if you just want fall, it's there too!)

Speaking of Halloween, Serena has a class this Friday, Spook-TACULAR Minibook.  What a great time to get ahead on the holiday.  Call the Island now to book your spot!

There is still time to sign up to join Debby Schuh at the Island October 26 & 27!  She has such great classes...  You have signed up, haven't you?  And in November, watch for a hosted Holiday Market where you will be able to sell your hand crafted goods on November 4th!  I heard from a bunch of people who are going to be selling at the market this weekend.  Good stuff.  This will be a can't miss event.

**The store will be closing early on Halloween. Our store hours will be from 10- 4 pm. Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

Ok, so LIKE us on Facebook, bookmark our Class Calendar, and well, you know the drill. Wait!  What a great time to remind you that if you have created something that you are really proud of, we really want to see it.  Bring it in, take a picture, post it on Facebook...  Whatever it takes for us to see how creative you are!  We really do want to see it!

Don't forget about the card swap, Giving Thanks is the theme this month...  Check it out down at the bottom!

Now to what you are here for the calendar...

So Much Fun Happening on the Island!

  Travel Journal

It has been said that once you have traveled, the voyage never ends,

but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers of the mind. (Pat Conroy)

A scrapbook of your journey adds even more as you place your photos and memorabilia in a beautiful book like the one we'll be making in this class.

Using some of the coolest new products around,

we'll use the new Heidi Swapp Memory Files in a unique way

to make a lovely book to help remember our "bon voyage" - our good journey!

We'll make little journaling booklets, make our own page protector inserts and fashion a one of a kind album that you'll have ready for your next trip or a trip you've taken.

Even if you're not leaving home, you can still record the journey of your life!

scissors,
ruler,
