Hollins Alumnae Admission News                           Winter 2014
"Hello, Hollins calling"
Alumnae Calling Week Feb. 17 - 21

Hello, this is Hollins calling Calling all alumnae admission volunteers! The Office of Admission invites you to participate in the first annual Alumnae Calling Week, February 17 - 21. Designed to extend the warmth of the Hollins community to prospective members of the Hollins University Class of 2018, Alumnae Calling Week offers you an opportunity to share your Hollins experience with students through a personal phone call.

Participants will receive a list of no more than five prospective students for personal outreach via phone. In order to best serve the prospective student population, calls must be made within the specified date range during a 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. time frame.

Not sure what you will say? The Office of Admission will provide participants with a list of prompts and questions of interest for alumnae use. If you love talking about your experience at Hollins, this is the perfect opportunity to share that story with young women as they make their final college decision.

Race to Reunion

On your mark...get set...GO! The Office of Admission encourages you, our alumnae admission volunteers, to lead the charge in supporting the enrollment initiative for the Class of 2018 and beyond by participating in the Race to Reunion

With a goal of 200 new referrals of high school age students, the Race to Reunion provides an opportunity to further stretch the reach of the Hollins alumnae network. Follow along via Facebook and our website to monitor which class leads the pack in this referral race.

Class years that end in 4s and 9s, and the class of 2012 - we're looking at you! As you prepare to return to campus for Reunion 2014, support your class by acknowledging young woman in your life with an alumnae referral

If your referral is received prior to the student's admission to Hollins, she will receive a one-time $500 scholarship. To sweeten the pot, the Reunion class with the most new student referrals received from September 1, 2013, to Reunion 2014 will receive special recognition at the alumnae celebration in the chapel during reunion weekend.

Non-Reunion class years will participate in their own race, with the highest number of qualifying referrals from these classes receiving recognition via social media and the Hollins website. Follow along as we #RacetoReunion.
