Flying off the tables

College Fair
"Hollins brochures flew off the table last night at the San Dieguito College Fair at Del Mar...not bad for being on the other coast. Hollins was one of three Virginia schools at the fair and the only women's college!"

Hollins Alumnae Admission News                           Summer 2013

As we conclude the 2012-2013 recruitment year, I would like to extend sincere thanks to the alumnae admission volunteers for your contribution to our enrollment efforts. However big or small, your support of the admission initiative has positively influenced the talented group of young women we have welcomed to the Hollins University Class of 2017.

Over the course of the next year, we will be sharing several new admission initiatives in which I hope you will consider participating. Be on the lookout for communications regarding new opportunities to become involved or enhance your participation. I look forward to hearing more from each of you!

Meet or Beat: 50/100 Referral Challenge

The heat is on for a substantial start to alumnae referral efforts in the upcoming recruitment year. Announced at Reunion 2013, President Gray called upon alumnae to contribute to the admission initiative by referring young women to Hollins. With a goal of 50 new referrals of rising high school seniors by November 1, 2013, and 100 additional referrals of students of any age by June 2014, now is the time to begin our progress toward meeting and beating the 50/100 challenge!

Referrals may be submitted with ease online, and if received prior to the student's admission to Hollins, provide a one-time $500 scholarship to the student. Take advantage of this simple but significant way to shape the Hollins Class of 2018 and beyond.

NEW: $500 Visit Scholarship

Just for visiting the Hollins campus, a prospective student will receive a $500 scholarship!

Students (enrolling in the fall of 2014 or later) who make an "official" visit to campus (scheduled through the admission office) will receive a one-time, $500 visit scholarship upon enrollment.

A campus visit enables a prospective student to talk to current students about classes, internships, community service, study abroad opportunities, and other areas of interest. They are given the opportunity to sit in on a class or two, talk to our student athletes and watch them in action, or stay overnight in the residence halls.  The visit is personalized to make sure that all their questions are answered. Students may also attend one of our scheduled events and received the $500 visit scholarship as well!

Share this great news and encourage prospective students to visit campus!
