At the end of the month, Dr. Jerry Parker will retire after four decades of service to the College, including 14 as it’s President. Dr. Parker is a consummate higher education professional and will leave behind a legacy of success in directing eight campus locations which host 27,000 full-and part-time students annually. In the last few months, he has been honored by the Chester County Economic Development Council, Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and Delaware County Council for his efforts to transform the College into an important educational partner within the community.
Our Alumni success story this month profiles Dr. Parker’s Executive Assistant and Class of 2017 graduate, Loretta Bevilacqua. Every great executive needs an effective manager to keep projects on time or schedules available for strategic conversations and Loretta meets those criteria to a “T.” You can read Loretta’s story on our website at https://www.dccc.edu/alumni-friends/news-updates.
Delaware County Community College has been named a “Great College to Work For” for seven years and counting thanks in great part to professionals like Dr. Parker and Loretta Bevilacqua. The Alumni Association would like to congratulate both on their achievements and wish them all the best for the future.
