8 a.m. Saturday Jan. 28 starting at the Jaycees building, 320 S. Third St.
Sponsored by the Hannibal Jaycees with Mark Twain Distributing Co.
Race starts on Lyon St., in front of the Jaycee building located at 320 S. 3rd St; Hannibal, MO. From there it will turn onto S. Main and proceed to the Bear Creek Trail. It will then go through Sodalis Nature Preserve and back to the start.
Wing Ding
Jan. 28 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
Doors open to the public at 11 a.m. Wings will be served at 1 p.m.. Winner will be announced at 6 p.m.
Proceeds will help benefit Down Country, a non-profit organization promotes disability awareness.

In an effort to expand on the theme “The “Gifts of Black Women” the program will feature various black women who have influenced their community and inspired others to achieve their goals.
Chocolate Extravaganza
March 11 in downtown Hannibal
Chocolate passports will include several different treats from most downtown businesses, of which you get to choose five you would like to redeem. There will also be special coupons and discounts for chocolate passport holders.
The Museum and the Chocolate Factory
1-3 p.m. March 11 at Mark Twain Boyhood Museum
Family fun event with chocolaty games and prizes all based around the famous characters from the original 1971 movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” featuring Gene Wilder. Children, and adults, of all ages can try their luck at Charlie Bucket’s newspaper toss, Violet Beauregarde’s grape stomp, compete in Augustus Gloop’s pie-eating contest, Veruca Salt’s egg putting challenge, Willy Wonka’s pin-the-hat game and even snap a photo in Mike Teavee’s Wonka Vision Studio Booth.
