Area youth from ages 3 to 17.... and from over 11 different school districts came out to participate. So many projects benefiting so many in need.

April is National Volunteer Month. This month is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the year.
Here at The Giving Tree, we would like to give a heartfelt thanks to each and every one of our amazing volunteers. Some give an hour... and some have given hundreds of hours. But each and every one of them are dedicated to our nonprofit and believe in our mission. The Giving Tree could not function without them. We thank each of them from the bottom of our hearts!

Founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson, Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970... and it's still going strong! Earth Day is a reminder of just how beautiful and awesome our planet is. A reminder that it is our responsibility to take care her.
Thursday, April 27th is "Take Your Daughters & Sons to Work Day". Millions of Americans will take their children to work that day for them to get a taste of 'the workplace'.

Long time Giving Tree participant, Sydney Vance, recently took some time to help the homeless. Sydney created 50 sock rolls complete with a granola bar, cracker packet and a pair of brand new socks. All going to help so many in need!
