Thank you all for the great feed back and support. Here are just some of the countries that my last fly orders got sent out to. Finland, Norway, France,Italy, America, Canada, Germany Australia and the UK. It is more than just amazing to know, that my flies are being used so frequently around the world to catch all species of fish.
It is going to snow in the next few days which will make some people very happy. Not being a lover of cold stuff unless its beer. It looks like more fire wood will be collected and Trigger will be hogging the fire while the computers key board gets a good workout. Although the season has finished down here, the behind the scenes work just keeps coming. "Find the balance", are the words that seem to crop up every week in my head. Maybe! I should just bugger off and actually go fishing!"
Two new Hardy fly fishing reels. WHY?
These are two very small reels which do not have the best ,strongest drag systems on them in the world. They are made in England, very well made, polished, piece's of modern and old history.
1-They both have that original sounding Hardy click reel sound that has grown on me, through the years of guiding clients. Who seem all to love that old Hardy screaming reel sound more than there partners voice!. The sound is so distinct. It is like that of a Harley Davidson motor bike driving along the road.
2- I have good large arbor fly reels with smooth drag systems, maybe making life too easy?. Going back the full circle and back to basics. Just seems like the way forward to keep the fun and skill's rolling in.
3- Adding more use of my hands means more chance of things not going to plan.
It also means two new 3 & 4 wgt light graphite rods to match them. are needed. I,m sure that's what it said on the instructions in the reel boxes.
