This Sunday | |
For the next three Sundays Pastor Dan will be preaching a new series titled The Missional Christian, on the purpose, call, and practice of being on mission with God as ambassadors of Jesus Christ to the world, both near and far. Make plans to join us and be challenged as you examine what the Word of God has to say about the importance of living and sharing the gospel with others!
Sermon Title:
Greatness Gone Viral
Sermon Passage:
When we witness something truly great we can hardly keep ourselves from telling others about what we have seen. So in today's high tech world not many events go unnoticed, and even the most bizarre of occurrences can become an overnight sensation thanks to social networks and online media sharing services. How then are we to respond and share the greatest thing that any one has ever witnessed? Join us this Sunday as we consider how the greatness of God and the proclamation of that greatness should never be contained and how it serves as the foundational purpose for living as missional Christians.

| Western Wake Crisis Ministry Update |
APC received the update below from WWCM. Our next drop-off will be next Tuesday, May 1st. Please consider picking up a few items from their wish list this week and dropping it by the church no later than this Sunday. Thank you!
The Crisis Ministry recently changed its food pantry model to reflect current trends. We now offer a "food choice" pantry which allows visitors have some choices about the foods they take home.
We have been offering these choices for a few weeks now, and we are already seeing some patterns in what our visitors need and prefer. We are noticing that many of these patterns are based on health needs or what an item might cost if they needed to purchase it in a store.
Here is our current wish list:
- Toilet paper
- Laundry Detergent (powdered)
- Dish soap (liquid)
- Pasta
- Dry beans - pinto and black beans
- Dry & canned milk
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Low sodium soup and other low sodium/low sugar canned foods
We are grateful for your support and look forward to keeping you updated on the needs of our "client choice" pantry. |
