Sermon Series: Living Sent - The Book of Acts

This Week's Title: The 12th Man
Title:  Pentecost - What Does this Mean?
Passage:  Acts 2:1-21
We often mark significant occasions with memorable events.  We celebrate birthdays with balloons and cake, we remember our nations independence with fireworks and parades, we mark transitions of our leaders with grand inaugural festivities.  Pentecost marked the divine empowerment of Jesus' followers and the inauguration of the world-changing, gospel mission to which he had called them. And the occasion was marked by supernatural events that left people asking, "What does this mean?"  Join us Sunday as we look at the outpouring of God's Spirit at Pentecost and its impact and significance both then and now.

We are currently collecting pantry food items for Western Wake Crisis Ministry's Summer Food Drive.  Non-Perishable items only, please.  From WWCM: " Summertime seems to be a forgotten season for food pantries. During this time of year, children are home and not receiving meals at school. We are in need of everything. Thank you for your continued support."

Mercy Ministry: Get Involved With Remember Nhu
Remember Nhu is a ministry with the mission to end child sex slavery through prevention by providing homes of refuge for at-risk children that serve to meet their physical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs. T wo of our own members, Josh Carlton and Matt Peedin, spent a week serving at three Remember Nhu homes established in The Gambia, West Africa by leaders of the Presbyterian Church there. Out of that experience, and in answering God's call, they are now inviting members of Ambassador to get involved with praying for and sponsoring girls in the newest home. Contact  Josh and Andrea Carlton  to or go to the home's webpage ( password: V1mto) for  more information about this great ministry and the opportunities we have to serve the children for the sake of Christ and His kingdom. Please note, if you take a card to sponsor a child, please email Andrea to let her know who you are sponsoring.
