The end of summer is here. It will soon be back to school as well as Suckasunny Day This year the street fair will be celebrating it's 25th Anniversary on Saturday September 8th starting at 10am. Stroll down Main Street to enjoy the entertainment, yummy treats and don't forget to stop and shop at the Friends Book Sale.

It will be a busy time for the Friends. Besides all the hard work of putting together the book sale, on Tuesday August 21 we have a fundraiser at Bensi of Succasunna. Present this coupon when you dine in or eat out and a portion of your bill will be donated to the Friends of the Library.

Chase Community Giving has announced the Friends of the Roxbury Library as one of the local charities in the Chase Community Giving 2012 Program. Voting opens September 6th. We hope you will vote for us.

Lastly, National Friends of the Library Week is Oct 21-27, so keep an eye out for this year's exciting celebration.

Book Collecting Starts Monday!

That's right it's time to clear out those bookshelves again. Drop off your unwanted gently used books at the library Monday Aug 20 - Friday Aug 31. Then join us for the sale to restock those shelves.

The Friends of the Library support library programs such as
this year's record breaking Summer Reading Programs. Friday at the Movies are underwritten by the Friends with the annual purchase the Motion Picture License and our ongoing support of the DVD collection. We also aid in the purchase of items such as the Museum Pass Program and much more. Please forward this e-mail and ask your friends to support the Friends by purchasing a membership.
