Christina Cultural Arts Center Hosts Three Public Allies

Public Allies Delaware is a program of the University of Delaware Center for Community Research and Service in Wilmington. Allies serve paid apprenticeships at local nonprofits for 10 months, where they create, improve and expand services to address organizational issues.  Allies participate in training with community leaders on public speaking, conflict resolution, diversity and oppression, and media literacy. Since 1994, Public Allies Delaware has developed over 250 young leaders who have completed over 475,000 hours of volunteer service.

Rashawn Scarbo, Community Impact

Rashawn completed BS in Criminal Justice at West Chester University and is currently in a Masters in Public Administration program at West Chester University. Rashawn will work with CCAC's team to use data to assess our impact on students, families and the community.

 

Ray Moore, Jr., Community Engagement

Ray is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a BA in History. Ray will lead outreach strategies to increase enrollment of disconnected youth and males in CCAC programs.

 

Sherize Urquhart, Preschool Community Liaison
Sherize is a graduate of Florida International University with a dual degree in communications and media arts. Sherize will lead efforts to raise awareness of CCAC's preschool by maximizing outreach through social media.
