Girl Scouts of Central Texas

Dear Girl Scout Family,

Throughout the past 23 years, I have enjoyed working with you to build our council into one of the best in the nation. With a focus on the needs of our girls, I am proud of all we accomplished and those of each of our girls. We have achieved many successes together and I am confident that there are many more to come.

Times of transition and change are sometimes difficult but necessary in certain circumstances. I find myself in such a position with the need to change professionally. It is with mixed emotions that I announce my resignation as Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Central Texas effective Friday, December 7, 2012.

As a long-time Girl Scout supporter and lifetime member, I will continue to uphold and support the mission of the Girl Scouts. I encourage you to do the same as our girls are counting on you to do so.

To ensure the stability of the council during this time of transition, the GSCTX Board of Directors and GSUSA will bring a Interim CEO to oversee the council. This individual will start the week of December 10,  2012. The GSCTX Board of Directors and staff will provide additional information as plans are finalized.

I hope you will all join me as I make my last appearance as GSCTX CEO on December 21, 2012 as the role of Mother Ginger at Ballet Austin's The Nutcracker and help light the way for the next 100 years of Girl Scouts.

Yours in Girl Scouting,

Etta
