My favorite Easter story comes from Millard Fuller who founded Habitat for Humanity. He was visiting with a woman in rural Georgia who had just moved into a new home. She had invested sweat equity into the house and was making her first monthly payments. Millard stopped by to check on her to see how she was adjusting. She assured Millard she was overjoyed. After a lifetime of poverty, she could finally see hope for her family to rise. “It’s like we were dead and buried and got dug up,” she told him. That is my hope for you this Easter. When we rise to sing the hallelujah chorus, the trumpets, organ and choir reverberate in the depths of our souls. When we break the bread and share the cup, we experience God breaking into our lives. I look forward to seeing you and those you love on Easter morning.

Join other children and families for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sun., Mar. 25 at 12:00 p.m. on the Combs Chapel and east lawns. This event for the whole family will have a petting zoo and the Easter Bunny. Please bring your cameras to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Lunch provided. The egg hunts will be age-specific for children birth through 5th grade.

Palm Sunday Worship  – March 25, Families are invited to join the Palm Parade at the 11:00 a.m. service, and we will celebrate the baptisms of our Pastors’ Class participants.

Maundy Thursday  – March 29, 7:00 p.m. – In remembrance of Jesus’ last supper, we gather to sing hymns, read scripture and celebrate communion. Rev. Corey Meyer preaching.

Good Friday  – March 30, 12:15 p.m. (prelude at noon) – Experience the darkest day on the Christian calendar. Dr. Mike Graves preaching.
