Taste of Tikkun Middot Lunch 'n Learn Series

monthly, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 

Join Rabbi Goldstein for a monthly Taste of Tikkun Middot Lunch 'n Learn. These sessions will provide an introduction to the spiritual practice of Tikkun Middot while focusing on the particular middah (ethical quality or trait) that we are studying each month. Topics and dates for the year are listed below. Bring your own lunch to each class. Beverages are provided.

Add to Calendar (button) Kabbalat Shabbat Services with Rabbi Peltz Weinberg Teaching on "Hitlamdut" from the Tikkun Middot Project
Friday, Sept. 19, 6 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend our pre-service nosh and our festive Kabbalat Shabbat service where Rabbi Peltz Weinberg, our Deutsch Scholar-in-Residence, will help introduce our year-long Tikkun Middot Project with her talk, "Teach Me, O God, a Blessing and Prayer," about our first middah, hitlamdut. 


Tikkun Middot Va'Adim Now Forming

Tikkun Middot Va'ad is a small gathering of people committed to meeting monthly throughout the year to explore the middot (ethical qualities and traits) in a more in-depth way through text study, discussions, experiential learning and spiritual practice. Each va'ad will be facilitated by a member of Shaare Emeth's clergy. Groups will begin meeting in October.

INFORMATIONAL MEETING ABOUT 

THE TIKKUN MIDDOT VA'AD

Tuesday, Sept. 30, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in one of these small groups should plan on attending this session. If you cannot attend but are still interested in being part of a va'ad contact Rabbi Goldstein at 314-569-0010 or [email protected]Spaces for these groups will be limited.

Lobby and President's Hallway
Rabbi Goldstein has asked twelve of our members to create a piece of art that represents one of the middot in the Shaare Emeth Tikkun Middot Project. The September artwork featuring the middah "hitlamdut," or "self study," is on display in the Temple lobby. The rest of the collection is now on display in the President's Hallway near the Auditorium.
