We want to wish a couple of friends the best of luck running the Boston Marathon on Monday: illustrator Scott Magoon, and our very own Storytime Sarah (Nixon) who's running her 23rd consecutive marathon! Go, Sarah and Scott, go!!!

The good Pilot Peter Woodhouse
The Good Pilot Peter Woodhouse
by Alexander McCall Smith

Val Eliot, a young woman working on an English farm during the war, meets Mike, a U.S. Air Force pilot stationed nearby. When Val rescues a Border Collie named Peter Woodhouse, who is being mistreated by his owner, she dognaps him and brings him to Mike. Peter Woodhouse finds a new home on the air force base, and Val finds herself falling in love. This was such a sweet and wonderful novel, and is the perfect book to share with everyone!

Rise _ Shine Benedict Stone
Rise & Shine, Benedict Stone
by Phaedra Patrick

From the author of The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper, this is the story of a man stuck in quiet, unchanging ordinariness. Benedict lives in the same small town, the same house that he grew up in, and continues to run the jewelry business his parents started many years ago. He and his wife, Estelle, have not been blessed with a child, which in his mind would complete their family. Estelle moves out, Arthur's estranged brother's daughter, Gemma, arrives and life begins to blossom again in delightful ways.

I Am Enough
by Grace Byers, Keturah A. Bobo (illus.)
I was drawn to this book by the cover, and with it's beautiful illustrations. As a parent, I feel it is extremely important to teach our children to love who they are, and to know that they are enough, no matter how different they may look. Grace Byers is an amazing actress and the message she sends in "I am Enough" is one that I hope everyone gets a chance to hear. (Ages 4-8)

Cards & Gifts Gifts
These Natural Life Trinket Dishes are seriously the perfect gift ever! The fun shapes match the sweet sentiment, and they even come in a pretty packaged box, making them ready to give to family and friends! Sayings include "don't hurry...be happy" on the sloth dish, and our favorite, the elephant, "Enjoy the little things...". We are particularly fond of elephants at An Unlikely Story.
