Kym recommends:
Maribeth is a working mother of twins, doing her best to juggle everything, and barely registers the fact that she's had a heart attack. When she comes home to recover, she quickly finds that her recuperation is an inconvenience to her family and she does what many a busy mom fantasizes about -- packing a bag and running away. This is a heartwarming novel about family, forgiveness, and learning how to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
Miranda recommends:
Travel journalist Lo Black finds herself caught in a tight thriller when she sees a body pushed overboard on a cruise. The problem? No one on the boat is missing. Lo's desperation for the truth puts her in more danger than ever as the twists and thrills move the book toward a shocking ending!
Lynda recommends:
Light summer read with fun characters in a small town Vermont setting featuring themes of home, love and family. Amidst cookie fundraisers, holiday season desserts, and the annual apple pie competition, city pastry chef extraordinaire Olivia discovers that the life she thought she wanted and the life that really has meaning and purpose are complete opposites. Add in some banjo picking and fiddling, and a lively dance ensues!
Lisa recommends:
by Brendan Wenzel
Is the cat cute? Are you afraid of the cat? Do you have a clear view of the cat? A great introduction into the concept of perspective and how we each view things with different eyes.
