Alisa recommends:
What do you do when you are visiting a pen pal, you are a tourist in an almost ghost town, on a two month visa, and you arrive during your pen pal's funeral? Open a bookstore! This novel is loads of fun and enjoyable, with a guaranteed happy ending.
Lynda recommends:
Lib Wright, trained as a nurse by Florence Nightingale herself, is hired to observe Anna O'Donnell, an 11 year old Irish girl who has not eaten in four months. The girl must be getting some form of nutrition, but how? And more importantly, why does she refuse to eat? As Lib watches, Anna begin to slowly waste away, and Lib becomes more and more attached to the girl and determined to find the answers. Beautifully written.
Caitlin recommends:
Neryn has been able to see fey creatures forever. In a dangerous kingdon that outlaws magic, all she can do is hide. However, one night someone starts hunting her and everything changes. A great intro to YA fantasy with lots of Celtic lore.
