Dear Beyond Imagination friends,
Over the past week two special things have happened. Remember that guy from the Middle East that counseled with me? He didn't get back with me for a while, but that was due to his Internet not working right. So, just last week he wrote me a message. He said, "Steve, with your caring and working with me I now have hardly any issue anymore. I feel so blessed for knowing you. I did find some other help in my country but it's not the same, and the person leading the group is on vacation. Can you counsel me again?" I said, "Absolutely." We have now started weekly accountability again.
Secondly, we had our first group attendees on Skype at the parents and friends group. It went very well. We look forward to future relations with that mom and dad.
We have some new ideas for the ministry. I'll write more about that soon. Keep us in prayer as we will be making some important decisions soon.
I'm excited for the upcoming conference. We are having two dynamic keynote speakers and many awesome testimonies including Dee Barnes, Miranda Pettit, Chris Broski, Eric Garner, and Kim Broadhead (friend). You won't want to miss this very informative and inspirational conference.

Abuse Prevention: Classes Planned
|

A close family friend, who was a custodian at our church, sexually abused me for 9 years of my life from age 8 to 17. Thus, I am very excited that Beyond Imagination has begun planning to offer Abuse Prevention training for parents. The classes could begin as early as the fall. They will include my personal testimony, a presentation from a Raleigh Police officer and helps from an area counselor.

Story of one of our Transforming Grace Conference Speakers

Tim's testimony has been heard at Amsterdam 2000 (a global event of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association), the Exodus World Conference (England) the 2003 Southern Baptist Convention, The State Convention of NC, Saddleback Church, Southeastern Seminary, First Baptist Church Dallas, Texas and hundreds of other venues. Tim has served as a strategist and panelist for the United Methodist Church.
Secular and Christian universities at which he has spoken include University of Arizona (Tucson), Methodist College, North Carolina State University, University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), University of North Carolina (Greensboro), and Cedarville University.
He has appeared on National Public Radio, Janet Parshall's America, Point of View, Concerned Women for America, USA Radio, BBN, American Family Radio, and Family News in Focus.
Wilkins is the creator of the conference MORE THAN WORDS which focuses on walking (versus talking) people out of homosexuality. MORE THAN WORDS has been conducted across the United States among various denominations. This one or multi day conference addresses such topics as If a Friend Says "I'm gay", Debunking the "Gay Gene", "What's a Parent to Do?", Untwisting "Gay Theology", Counseling the Homosexual, Preventing Homosexuality, and A Biblical Bridge Out of Homosexuality. MORE THAN WORDS has gained international attention. Of note, a documentary film team from The Netherlands flew to the United States to videotape the conference and interview Wilkins; this documentary has been televised in The Netherlands.
Cross Ministry's work and Tim's articles have been featured around the world including France, Central and South America, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Australia, India, New Zealand, and Italy.

Says Wilkins, "No one has ever been argued out of homosexuality" and ,"I love homosexuals more now than when I was one!"
He and his wife have three daughters and live near Raleigh, North Carolina.
