Archbishop Dolan Believes Overturn of Roe is Possible
Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York demonstrates solid pro-life credentials in a new book, written by a veteran Vatican journalist. Archbishop Dolan also indicates he will not rest until the tragic U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade is overturned. You can read more from Education Director Maria Vitale's column at http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/22/catholic-bishops-presidents-new-book-touts-pro-life-values/ .

Pro-Abortion Legislation Blocked in U.S. Senate
Pro-abortion legislation has been blocked in the U.S. Senate, thanks to the work of some stalwart pro-life Senators. Pro-abortion Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid (D-NV) attempted to move forward a "mini-bus," a measure linking together three appropriations bills which had anti-life provisions. Among other things, the bill would have eliminated the ban on taxpayer funding of abortion in the District of Columbia. But, thanks to the work of pro-lifers, the pro-abortion legislative train derailed! Company Halts First Embryonic Stem Cell Research Trial
Geron, the company that began the first human trial using destructive embryonic stem cell research, has decided to get out of the embryonic stem cell research business altogether.  There just wasn't enough money to continue--and the human subjects had shown no progress as a result of the experiments.  You can read more about this important development at http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/15/company-halts-first-human-embryonic-stem-cell-research-trial/  .

Erie Abortion Facility Dismantled
From People for Life's email newsletter:

A large portion of the real estate that until recently housed Dr. Steven Brigham's dormant abortion facility in Erie was liquidated by sheriff's sale. The abortion facility was comprised of five adjacent but separate suites. The condo association of the 1611 Peach Street Professional Building, where the abortion facility was located, purchased three of the units effectively dismantling the killing facility.

One of the reclaimed suites used to serve as the main office and
reception area of the abortion facility. Another housed the abortion
procedure room itself. The third reclaimed suite served as a makeshift office for the abortion facility's armed security guards and an observation post where a camera was trained on pro-life sidewalk
counselors outside the building. Cameras were frequently used in a completely futile attempt to intimidate local pro-life advocates.
