Layle Koncar with Simple Stories
 Layle Koncar has been scrapbooking for the past 19+ years, since the birth of her first son. More than 10 years ago she was able to turn her love for all things paper crafting into a full time job. Since then she's worked for several leading manufacturers in the industry & is currently the Director of Marketing for Simple Stories; her boss jokingly refers to it as the 'fun & games' department and that's A-OK with Layle because it IS fun and she loves her job! She's has been teaching for the last 14 years & has had the amazing opportunity to travel the world teaching and making connections with other scrapbookers, paper crafters & planner girls that share the same passion for the hobby. Her work has been published in various scrapbooking publications over the years as well as authoring & contributing to the book 'Memory Art'. Besides scrapbooking, she loves traveling, reading, shopping, decorating, binging on Netflix, dieting (ok, not really!) and spending time with her husband and two teenage sons.

Look who's coming to The Island's Creative Escape!!!
My name is Anna Dabrowska, also known as Finnabair. I was born in Warsaw, Poland, now I live in Ireland with my husband, Andrzej and my pets.
I'm a full time designer and artist and as an experienced traveling teacher I offer a range of my own mixed media-based classes in collage, artistic scrapbooking, art journaling and more. I truly enjoy teaching and during my classes I focus not only on showing techniques, ideas and tricks but also I try to spread my love and enthusiasm for arts and crafts as I believe in therapeutic and liberating power of creativity.
I work with such international brands as Prima Marketing (design team member since 2011 and product designer since 2013) and 7 Dots Studio ( product designer since 2011). I run my own Creative Team who supports my creative Blog and I design for international mixed-media and scrapbooking magazines. My biggest pride and adventure of the last years is my own mixed-media line of products released with Prima Marketing which happen to be source of inspiration for a large group of creative people.

During this class we will not only decorate beautiful, denim folder, which may be later used as an art journal, traveller's notebook or simply storage for your favourite scraps and photos but also learn tons of useful, inspiring techniques which will be easy to apply to many other projects! We will focus on multi-layering, creating rich, dimensional compositions including elements created with moulds, working with Finnbair Art Mediums and finally - working with Rust Paste, stencils, Art Alchemy Paint s and more!

Kate Thompson Debuts at The Island's Creative Escape!!!

 Kate's experience as a fiber artist was working with fabric and fibers to create abstract 3-dimensional forms. In 2009 she started painting and hasn't stopped since. Her current work is the combination of the two disciplines. Using watercolors, acrylics, inks and pastels she paints on substrates such as layered vintage linens, fabrics, laces, plaster, paper and wood. The portrait or figure is the focal point and she works at creating images that parallel her spiritual and personal life.
She teaches art online and on location. She is as passionate about teaching as she is creating. The creative process is where all the energy is and she loves and gets energized by sharing her artistic journey.

We will explore Finnabair Patina Pastes and Waxes, Cut and Embellish our book pages and walk away with a fabulous Nautical themed scrapbook, journal or diary. Our pages and embellishments are inspired from the latest Prima release, the St. Tropaz line! It goes without saying that this project is absolutely delightful, and you'll walk away completely smitten with all of Prima's offerings!

Calling all card makers and scrappers! Color layering is a hot trend right now and Hero Arts has made it so easy for you to add this technique to your scrapbook layout, card or decorative art work. Join us to learn the ins and outs, tips and tricks of this new way to add interest and dimension to your projects. An added bonus: we'll be playing with Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide inks and stencils.

Join Lexi for an all day workshop introducing you to all the latest Prima products. This all inclusive workshop will give you the opportunity to play with the Finnabair acrylics, waxes, sand pastes, metal mechanicals, Frank Garcia powders, IOD molds, molding paste, hand dyed silk ribbon and stencils.
This is an intensive workshop, so seating will be limited to 10.
