The club will be getting an automated external defibrillator (AED) that will be placed in the dining room in a cabinet where it will be accessible in case of an emergency. Thank you, Libby Griffin for helping us find a great deal!

The club successfully passed the ABC Inspection earlier this month and our ABC license has been renewed. In order to maintain compliance with the law, we are making some adjustments in daily operations and banquet procedures. All servers will be required to have their ABC certification.

A Health Department Inspection is pending.

The Point of Sale (POS) hardware has been received. We are now waiting to have the required secure network provided by COX business to be made available.

A Big Thanks going out to First Mates for covering the cost of the Double Door refrigeration for our Beer products! We are now able to keep the beer kegs cold and fresh.

This Month's Events

Swim Team Pictures, Potluck & Pool Party

Team pictures will be on Friday, July 6th followed by a team potluck and pool party. The swim team will provide the main dish (fried chicken) parents of team members are asked to provide side dishes and desserts! After dinner the kids will swim and have fun while the adults socialize and help Coach Steve and Libby with any relay carnival set up that is needed.

Individual pictures will start at 4:15 pm, the team picture will be at 5:00 pm, and the potluck will start at 5:30 pm. Please have all food items to the pool no later than 5:30 pm.

WYCC is Hosting the

4th Annual Swim Team Relay Carnival

Saturday, July 7th

Welcome James River Country Club, Running Man, and Hidenwood

Dear members,

The pool will not be open to all members until after the swim relays have been completed.

This is going to be one of the biggest events we have hosted. Please keep in mind that the parking is going to be tight, I would like to encourage people to carpool as much as possible. We will do our best to keep the boat ramp available in the morning, but it is strongly suggested that all boaters delay launching their boats until the congestion clears.

Volunteers will be arriving by 6 AM

Swimmers will be arriving by 7:30 AM (Warm up)

There will be $5 Lunches available (Hamburger, 2 Hot Dogs, chips and drink). Family Relays, games, an inflatable bouncy house, and other activities for members and guests to enjoy during the relays and right after the Meet.

Don't forget to bring chairs!

This year we will be hosting James River Country Club, Running Man and Hidenwood. All participants are encouraged to stay and use the facility for the rest of the day.

Enjoy learning and sampling fine spirits with Karl Oldershaw (the founder of VABoozNews Blog) on Friday July 27th at 7 pm (Topside). It's a blind tasting of 5 different whiskeys accompanied by a few bites of assorted cheeses, chocolate, fruit and meats. Make your reservations in advance. $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity)
