Anchorless Productions Presents
Aladdin
For the past few months, Mira Costa High Schools students and Mychal's students have been preparing hard for their upcoming June performance of
Aladdin. This effort is headed up by Mira Costa High School Student, Hailey Staszkow. For nearly all the Mira Costa students and Mychal's students, this is a completely new experience.
Hailey started Anchorless Productions out of her love for acting, and now, directing. Hailey ha
s been acting since 7th grade and fell in love with the art. Having starred in 6 productions herself, including her favorites
Bang Bang or Dead
and
Breakfast Club
, Hailey is now ready to start working behind the scenes.

Hailey
became aware of Mychal's
Learning Place after volunteering with National Charity League. The Mychal's students love working with Hailey and she loves coming to Mychals and seeing how excited they are to practice their performance. The students have been putting a lot of effort into their practices. It inspires Hailey when she sees them overcome frustrations and when they see the results of their hard work. It is a great feeling when the songs and performance come together. Right now, Hailey and her fellow Mira Costa students spend several hours preparing performance practice schedules every week for Mychal's students. The group usually starts off with a game and th
en jumps into a review of all that they have learned so far. Following this run-through, the students will learn a new song or target areas that they need to improve upon.
In the future, Hailey would love to expand Anchorless Productions into a theatre company that specializes in performances that bring together high school students and students with developmental disabilities.
Please come check out the performance of
