Cheese Bar Anniversary!


Today marks the 4th anniversary of the day we opened the doors at Cheese Bar. To celebrate, we have planned a week of ta
sty events. The line up includes:

  • Tuesday, March 4th, 7 to 9 - The Commons Brewery Biere de Garde premier, special kegs, and special bottles
  • Wednesday, March 5th, 6 to 8 - Super Raclette! Like the typical fabulous Raclette experience, but more!
  • Thursday, March 6th, 5 to 8 - Come and meet Angela of Consider Bardwell Farm, producers of award-winning artisan cheese from Vermont
  • Friday, March 7th, 5 to 7 - Meet Faith from local confection Bees and Beans and sample her delectable bars and other surprises
  • Saturday, March 8th, 3 to 5 - Olympic Provisions will be in the shop tasting their cured meats and premiering pickles that will be on Cheese Bar shelves soon
  • Sunday, March 9th, 12:30 to 2:30 - Anne from Helioterra Wines will be pouring samples of wine from her lauded local, urban winery.

Reminder - The Double EE = chEEse and bEEr Festival in Central Point, OR, Sunday, March 16

 

If you are looking for a great new cheese and beer experience, check out this new event sponsored by the Oregon Cheese Guild in Central Point, Oregon on March 16. The Double EE: chEEse and bEEr is a friendly cheese and beer competition that challenges cheese makers and brew masters to create great tastes together along with a story behind the pairing. Double EE is the day after the Oregon Cheese Festival and celebrates its 10th Anniversary. There will be at least 10 teams participating in the event including Rogue Ales, Rogue Creamery, Pholia Farm Creamery, Wild River Brewing, Oakshire Brewing, Willamette Valley Cheese, Pelican Brewing, LaMariposa Creamery, Agrarian Ales, Full Circle Creamery, Falling Sky Brewers, OSU Fermentation Students, and more..Steve is very excited to participate as a judge along with author Janet Fletcher and CULTURE Magazine founder Lassa Skinner. Tickets are $50 per audience member, and the event is limited to 100 guests.
