Changes to Opening Schedule Due to Winter Weather

Residents,
The Housing and Dining Services staff has been monitoring the possibility of adverse winter weather in this weekend's forecast, and has made some adjustments to the opening schedules for our residence halls and the Living Community at Jardine.
Instead of the official opening of 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, the residence halls and the LC will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. There will be no additional charge for arriving on Saturday, however students' meal plans will not begin until breakfast on Monday. Meals will be available for cash or Cat Cash at Derby Dining Center on Saturday and Sunday.
For students who want or need to arrive before Saturday, we'll be open for these early arrivals beginning at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 12). Because these days are not included in the residence hall contract, there is a daily $40 early arrival fee to cover the additional costs. Students will be charged $40 via their KSIS account for Thursday and $40 for Friday. This fee will also provide those students with access to meals at Derby Dining Center.
Derby and Kramer dining centers will be open for all residents on Monday, Jan. 16, and Van Zile Dining Center will open on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
