Airfare sales may stave off winter blues
Believe it or not you can still book holiday fares for a great price.
For example: you can leave on Wednesday December 19 and Return Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25 and fly nonstop Pittsburgh to Orlando roundtrip for $233 on Southwest! You have to be willing to fly on the non-peak days.
Not going away over the holidays? Then start planning today for January. Faced with a traditional post-holiday lull in travel, several airlines are hoping their New Year's sales will lure travelers back into the air at a discount.
Many have posted fare sales through the beginning of March. And they are listed in this issue of discount fares! If you are flying home for the holidays, arrive early to allow extra time to get through screening - at least 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight.
