On behalf of the Just Vision board, we are proud to announce that Suhad Babaa will become the new Executive Director of Just Vision in January 2015. Over the last seven months, the board conducted a rigorous search process. It was moving to meet a variety of impressive candidates who spoke about the impact that Just Vision has had and to hear how the organization excited their passions. Ultimately we felt Suhad exhibited the character, values, strategic thinking and talent to succeed in this role and to lead the organization into its next, exciting chapter. This month, we voted unanimously in support of Suhad's leadership. 

Many of you know Suhad as Just Vision's Director of Programming. In her current capacity, Suhad has overseen our public engagement strategies in the Middle East and North America, deepened our relationships with our partners in the field, expanded our reach within Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities, partnered with universities and think tanks, and earned a reputation as a deeply principled, forward-thinking, collaborative leader. Within Just Vision, she has garnered the respect and support of her colleagues and the board. For those of you who know her, you know that the passion, dedication and care that she brings to the field and to Just Vision in particular are powerful and inspiring. We have confidence that under Suhad's leadership, Just Vision will grow and flourish. 

This summer's heartbreaking events brought into relief that Just Vision's work supporting Palestinian and Israeli civilians who strive for freedom, dignity, equality and human security is more important than ever. We are deeply proud of the organization's unique role in amplifying the voices of courageous grassroots leaders and appreciate the ever-expanding community of individuals who invest their time and resources to advance Just Vision's efforts. We are energized to continue our important shared work to end the occupation and build a future where everyone in the region can thrive.
