|For 9 years our community has come together under the call-sign 88.9FM KRFC to create and support great non-commercial radio that fosters deeper connections throughout the community and creates a sense of place. Over those 9 years Northern Colorado has evolved and enjoyed a rise in major national press for the new generation of musicians and music industry professionals making the front range their home. Likewise, KRFC's format has evolved with the times to offer our increasingly savvy community more local music and entertainment than ever before. With all this in mind, KRFC has booked an unprecedented local line-up to celebrate the friends and neighbors who have worked together to build a buzz-worthy scene and a one-of-a-kind community radio station. Ben Taylor, son of James Taylor and Carly Simon, returns to Colorado March 10th to headline the 9th Annual KRFC Birthday Bash with additional performances by 2011 local chart-topping artists, John Common and Blinding Flashes of Light, Fierce Bad Rabbit, and Danielle Ate the Sandwich. Martin Gilmore (of Long Road Home) and brilliantly gifted youth-musician Jaden Carlson round out the bill, which kicks off at 5:30pm. All in all, the cost of admission ($20 GA; $88.99 VIP) includes a festival-style line up featuring 5 Colorado bands in the newly-renovated Lincoln Center. more >>>Tickets are available through the Lincoln Center box office, (970) 221-6730, lctix.com.
