It's with a sense of both nostalgia and joy that I must tell you we've had a change of ownership at Color Clay Cafe. I have retired after 15 years as owner and manager. I'll miss this fun business which has allowed me to be part of your lives for so long.
At the same time, I'm filled with happiness that some lovely people have purchased the studio to continue the activities you've come to enjoy. Paula McNear and Michele Smeal are a mother and daughter team, who along with another daughter, Bo, are already experienced with paint your own pottery. They are committed to advancing the business with some new ideas, and I look forward to following their successes.
Elizabet and Rebecca will remain as employees and all existing reservations will be honored.
I'll be staying involved for a few months assisting in the transition and I might see you in the studio as a customer too! Now that I'll have more time, I plan to paint some pottery myself! Please say hello to Paula, Michele and Bo the next time you're in and stay tuned for good things.
Check out the new schedules for Workshops and Home School on the website.
You'll see both new and past favorite projects in clay sculpting, glass fusing, canvas painting and specialized techniques in ceramics.
Be sure to register in advance as these programs all require setup. You're welcome to bring in your own beverage. Bring a
friend too for extra fun.
We're working now on activities for Spring Break and also the Summer Camp schedule. We expect to have them ready in a couple weeks.
Cancer Survivor's Night
Join us for an important event on April 8 when Color Clay Cafe is hosting a benefit for cancer research and rehabilitation at Greenville Health System's Cancer Center.
For $35, you can choose a dinner plate, mug, bowl, vase, or wall plaque. Paint in memory of a loved one or sponsor a survivor to paint.
This is also an opportunity for those going thru treatment to have a fun evening out.
The event has been organized annually by Countybank as part of their team effort to support advances in treatment. They will provide drinks and light fare. Call us to reserve your place.
With gratitude and best wishes!
